POSITION SUMMARY


Vistage is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will support the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with the month-end close process. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in GAAP, strong analytical skills, and a desire to grow within a collaborative accounting environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Support the tracking and reconciliation of intercompany balances.
  • Assist with event and revenue recognition entries in alignment with company policies.
  • Contribute to monthly variance and P&L reviews by providing supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Assist in preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documentation to external auditors.
  • Support the preparation of cash flow reports and other internal management reporting as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide cross-functional support to colleagues in finance and accounting as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business field required.
  • 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience; internship experience in accounting may be considered.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software; advanced Excel a plus.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
  • Effective communicator with a professional presence and collaborative approach.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.


TOTAL COMPENSATION RANGE

$26 - $29 Hourly + Corporate Bonus (based in San Diego, CA)
