Purpose of Position
The Associate Brand Manager supports the development and execution of marketing initiatives within the pasta category, including new item development, retail execution, and brand activation. This role is highly cross-functional and execution-focused, providing critical support to the Brand Manager & Marketing Director while building foundational brand management skills.
This position operates in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where success is driven by strong organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- New Item Development:
- Assist in the creation of R&D briefs including product design, pricing, and packaging inputs
- Support volume forecasting for new item projects
- Help coordinate new item meetings and track project timelines
- Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Sales) to support product launches
- Assist in development of sell-in materials and customer presentations
- Track project milestones to ensure on-time execution
- Packaging & Creative Execution:
- Support development of creative briefs with Design teams
- Coordinate packaging updates, artwork revisions, and approvals
- Assist in managing timelines with internal teams and external agencies
- Ensure packaging aligns with brand standards and retailer requirements
- Consumer & Shopper Marketing Execution
- Support execution of shopper marketing programs across key retailers
- Assist in development and deployment of in-store materials (shelf talkers, displays, signage)
- Coordinate logistics for in-store demos and merchandising initiatives
- Help execute digital promotions (e.g., coupons, retailer programs like Ibotta)
- Support tracking and reporting of marketing program performance
- Retail & Sales Support
- Partner with Sales team to support customer presentations and new item sell-in materials
- Assist in maintaining accurate product information across retailer platforms
- Help analyze assortment performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support execution of retailer-specific programs and initiatives
- Analytics & Insights
- Analyze syndicated data (IRI, 84.51, etc.) to identify trends and performance insights
- Monitor competitive activity and summarize key takeaways
- Support reporting on brand performance, innovation launches, and marketing programs
- Assist in building presentations with data-driven insights and recommendations
- Operational & Cross-Functional Support
- Help manage timelines, budgets, and project trackers
- Coordinate with Demand Planning and Supply Chain on forecasts and product availability
- Support cost tracking and assist in identifying efficiency opportunities
- Contribute to process improvements and team organization
Key Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, CPG, or related field (internships included)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
Compensation: Starting at $90,000 Annually
