Summary
Associate Business Analyst
The Associate Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Analytics team by primarily collecting and exporting reports from established systems. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates interested in gaining foundational experience in data handling, reporting, and analytics in a business environment.

Responsibilities

The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve and export regular and ad-hoc reports from established systems based on team and stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure reports are collected and delivered in a timely manner, meeting set schedules or deadlines.
- Maintain a well-organized repository of collected reports for easy access by team members and stakeholders.
- Update and manage historical data records, ensuring data is stored securely and complies with data handling standards.
- Format exported reports according to specific departmental or stakeholder guidelines, making data easier to interpret.
- Modify or adjust report parameters as needed to match evolving business requirements or special project needs.
- Support senior analysts in preparing datasets for analysis by cleaning and organizing data exports.
- Take advantage of training opportunities to learn about analytics tools, data management, and reporting best practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports
Indirect Reports: Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: High school education
Experience Requirements: 0 to 2 years
Environmental & Physical Requirements
Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of data collection, data cleaning, and basic analysis techniques to ensure accurate reporting.
- Familiarity with report generation from various data systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, or BI tools) and the ability to export data in usable formats.
- Understanding best practices for organizing data files and reports, including folder structures, naming conventions, and archiving protocols.
- Familiarity with creating simple charts or graphs to enhance data presentation and support stakeholders in understanding report insights.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, systems, and processes as the department evolves and new technology is introduced.
