About this role

We are looking for an Associate Business Analyst to support our department with data analysis, reporting, and business operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with data, and interested in learning about business processes and performance metrics. This role will assist in preparing reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and supporting budgeting and operational analysis activities.

The pay range for this position In Western Washington varies between $51,200 – $76,900, and for Eastern Washington varies between $49,700 - $74,300. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza Corp. intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

Working with the Business 

  • Assist with data analysis and reporting to support business operations and decision-making 
  • Prepare and maintain dashboards, reports, and basic business metrics 
  • Support the identification and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) 
  • Gather and organize data from internal systems for analysis and reporting 
  • Work with team members to understand reporting needs and help provide accurate data 
  • Assist in maintaining documentation related to reports, data sources, and business processes 
  • Support business information systems that provide operational and performance data 

Supporting the Budget and Budget Cycle 

  • Assist with expense tracking and reporting activities 
  • Help prepare monthly and quarterly reports comparing actual expenses to budget 
  • Support invoice reconciliation and coding processes 
  • Assist with tracking monthly expense accruals 
  • Help prepare data for quarterly budget forecasts and annual budget preparation 
  • Compile data needed for budget variance explanations 
  • Work with Finance and other departments to gather information needed for budgeting and reporting

  • 0–2 years of related experience in business analysis, finance, data analysis, or a similar field 
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar reporting tools 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
