Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst in support of the Navy’s E2-D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft design. The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye is the U.S. Navy's premier carrier-based all-weather airborne early warning (AEW) and battle management command and control (BMC2) aircraft, acting as a "digital quarterback". It provides persistent, 360-degree situational awareness, advanced radar tracking, and multi-sensor fusion to protect Carrier Strike Groups from advanced aircraft and missile threats They should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver and have working knowledge of IT security principles, including systems and database software, storage technology, risk evaluation, vulnerability mitigation, and IT security tools. They should also have a working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework), and experience in implementing and managing information security programs and controls.
Summary of Responsibilities
Will serve as Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and operate as a part of a team. Daily tasks will include managing software and information system certifications and approvals, incident response coordination, workforce cybersecurity training, and maintenance and content updates of cybersecurity websites.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Active CompTIA Security+ or SecurityX (formerly CASP+) certification
- One of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years related experience.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience
- Master’s degree with a minimum of 0 years related experience
- Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and switching
- Understanding of security technologies, such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, antivirus solutions, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in securing operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle), and network devices (routers, switches)
- Familiarity with DoD systems and compliance requirements
- Experience with Security Tools such as Nessus, McAfee, Ivanti HEAT, Tanium, SolarWinds, and Splunk
