What you’ll do:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will work with divisions in APAC to develop secure products, applications and software running software across the full technology stack, including firmware, desktop applications, web applications, mobile applications and cloud-based systems. You will help with secure design decisions, driving DevSecOps framework and governance . You will drives professional security testing and remediation efforts to continuously elevate product security posture and engineering maturity.

• Drive Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) processes across Eaton engineering teams, ensuring security is embedded throughout product design, development, and delivery.
• Partner with Product teams across Eaton APAC and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to influence the design, implementation, and validation of product security features and controls.
• Act as a cybersecurity tester to ensure comprehensive security test coverage, including defining test plan, implementing test cases, and developing and maintaining automated security test scripts.
• Own and execute security testing activities such as vulnerability validation, regression testing, and security assessments across software, firmware, and system level components.
• Analyze security findings, collaborate with development teams to drive effective remediation, and validate the correctness and completeness of security fixes.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and the continuous improvement of security engineering and testing processes across the organization.
• Apply secure software development principles and cybersecurity best practices in daily work, while continuously expanding technical expertise in programming languages, development frameworks, and security testing tools.
• Support and maintain security test lab and tools, continuously improving test efficiency, stability, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Cybersecurity, Computer science, or comparable degree from an accredited institution
- 0–2 years of professional experience in the software industry, contributing to the design, development, testingHands-on experience with embedded systems and IoT platforms, including device firmware, networking, or system integration.
- Exposure to or practical experience in IoT security penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or security testing of connected devices.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including software design principles, algorithms and data structures, and multithreading and concurrency concepts.
- Foundational understanding of security concepts, such as encryption and cryptographic primitives, digital certificates and PKI, and key management and secure storage.
- Working knowledge of networking protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, Modbus and SNMP
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and debug skills in software and system environment.
- Demonstrate fundamental IT operations and system administration skills.Ability to work in and with multi-cultural and geographically dispersed teams
- Fluent in English and excellent communication, presentation, training & Influencing Skills
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams (legal, IT, product management, project management)
- Ability to present to Eaton's engineering and business leadership
