ASSOCIATE CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER
Central Office – Office of Technology and Information Services
Under general supervision of the Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations Team Leader, assists in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices concerning the overall security of the organization’s network infrastructure and enterprise data. Assists with firewall configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and other various network security measures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE | These items are intended only as examples of the various types of job duties to be performed; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department. Assists in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses. Assists with security administration activities, such as access control and password maintenance associated with day-to-day operational and enterprise level information security issues.
Provides technical training to professional and support staff as required. Attends professional development and courses as required. Performs other work-related duties as assigned. |

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED |
At least one year of experience in IP network architecture and secure network architecture. Security+, CCNA, or CISSP certifications preferred. Knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite and the ability to perform troubleshooting of networks and associated devices. Understanding of network security including Intrusion Detection, Firewalls, DMZ, Routers, VPNs, and common network level vulnerabilities.
Knowledge with network, ports, protocols, Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems. Knowledge of information security standards, rules, and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality.
Excellent system analysis techniques and analytical skills required. Proactive self-starter with good project management skills; able to work independently as well as within a team.
