About the Department
Under the supervision of the Director of Student Development Support & Engagement, the Associate Director of Student Life provides strategic leadership and hands-on supervision for a wide range of student involvement, leadership development, and community service initiatives within the MTC Office of Student Life. This role plays a key part in fostering an engaging, inclusive, and supportive campus environment that enhances the overall student experience.
The Associate Director is responsible for the operational management and daily oversight of student leaders and student participants, ensuring that programs and services are effectively planned, executed, and evaluated. This includes coordinating activities across a multi-campus system that serves a diverse population of approximately 14,000 credit students and 14,000 continuing education students.
By developing student leadership programs, creating andcoordinating student involvement opportunities, managing student spaces, and promoting meaningful service experiences, the Associate Director contributes to students' personal growth, engagement, and success across the institution.
Position Duties
A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs. Preferred: A Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services, Higher Education Administration, or a related field with two (2) years’ experience in student activities, counseling, or related field preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services, Higher Education Administration, or a related field with two (2) years of professional experience in college student activities (programming, advising student organizations, and/or managing college student spaces), counseling, or related field preferred.
