The Associate Software Engineer will design, build, and operate internal SaaS-style engineering solutions that embed data, AI, and security governance directly into enterprise platforms and delivery workflows. This entry-level role focuses on translating governance, privacy, and AI risk requirements into scalable, code-based controls, services, and automation that make systems secure-by-default, auditable, and reliable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong foundational skills in software engineering with experience in backend or full-stack SaaS development.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Java).
  • Familiarity with APIs, authentication/authorization, CI/CD, logging, and cloud-native development patterns.
  • Interest in AI-enabled systems, data platforms, and building secure, well-governed services.
  • Ability to work under guidance and translate defined requirements into reliable implementations.

Responsibilities:

Governance SaaS Engineering & Automation

  • Build and maintain internal SaaS services, APIs, and automation that enforce data and AI governance requirements.
  • Translate defined governance, privacy, and security controls into reusable code components.
  • Integrate governance services into CI/CD pipelines, data workflows, and application architectures.

AI Trust & Governance Enablement

  • Implement guardrails, middleware, and telemetry for AI-enabled features, including request validation, logging, and policy enforcement.
  • Support governed use of AI services by embedding controls around inputs, outputs, and usage patterns.
  • Enable traceability and auditability for AI workflows under guidance from governance and security leadership.

Platform Reliability, Security & Data Controls

  • Implement automated checks for access control, data classification, and sensitive data handling.
  • Build monitoring, alerting, and exception reporting for governance-related failures.
  • Partner with platform and data engineering teams to ensure secure-by-default configurations.

Developer Enablement & Integration Support

  • Create reference implementations, templates, and documentation to enable adoption of governance services.
  • Support engineering teams integrating governance controls into SaaS, data, and AI solutions.
  • Contribute to standard patterns (“golden paths”) for governed development.

Stakeholder Alignment & Other Duties as Assigned

  • Collaborate with Data & AI Governance, Security, Legal, and Engineering teams.
  • Communicate implementation status and technical considerations clearly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of enterprise governance objectives.
