*Note: This position is a hybrid remote/office role, and you must be available to report in-person to Ada from Monday-Thursday as part of our collaboration days*

 

What We’re looking for:

Amway is seeking a Tax Analyst I to join our US Tax Compliance team.  In this role, you will assist the Tax Team with compliance, research, planning, and projects related to US federal, state, and local income taxes, excise tax, withholding tax, and informational reporting

Day to Day, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing federal and state corporate tax workpapers.
  • Assisting with the filing of information returns.
  • Responding to audit notices from various tax authorities.
  • Partnering with our dedicated in-house Technology Solutions team to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within our tax workflows.

Required qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.  Experience with OneSource software, Alteryx, Tableau and Oracle Business Systems – JDE and EBS is a plus.

  • Ability to think strategically and understand the broader view.  Demonstrates an understanding of the long-term, "big picture" view of needs and opportunities.
  • Thought leadership aided by the ability to connect dots and challenge assumptions.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills in handling multiple activities/projects simultaneously.
  • An ability to research tax related statutes, regulations, and court cases.

The Corporate Tax Department is responsible for tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax planning for Amway’s worldwide organization. Our team of skilled professionals operates in a dynamic and evolving world of tax policy and compliance. We host an in-house technology team that deploys technology solutions including automation and data analytics tools to streamline processes and drive efficiency.     The Domestic team focuses on US compliance, including areas related to income tax, excise tax, sales and use tax, property tax, and tax credits. This position will mainly focus on federal corporate income tax, with an international emphasis, as well as state and local income tax.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Internal candidate offers are subject to the guidelines in the U.S. Pay Policies. Pay ranges may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
