Join the Office of the City Auditor

The Office of the City Auditor is seeking a detail-oriented Audit Investigative Assistant to provide administrative and technical support to auditors and investigators. This position plays a key role in supporting the department in promoting accountability, transparency, and effective City operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct basic research and analysis under supervision.

  • Take, record, and transcribe meeting minutes involving technical, financial, legal, and audit-related topics.

  • Schedule meetings and maintain calendars related to investigations.

  • Prepare correspondence, background materials, and reports; coordinate information with City departments and external agencies.

  • Establish and maintain electronic and paper investigative files.

  • Prepare and maintain investigative folders.

  • Screen visitors, calls, mail, and email; respond to routine inquiries as appropriate.

  • Retrieve and manage data from City enterprise systems and external databases.

  • Assist with spreadsheets, data analysis, case preparation, and City Council materials.

  • Travel to obtain records and documentation as needed.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Prepare accurate, clear, and timely correspondence and records.

  • Communicate professionally and courteously in writing and verbally.

  • Accurately prepare meeting minutes and data for reports.

  • Adhere to all City policies and procedures.
