State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for a full time, 9 month annual contract, exempt, and benefit eligible Automotive Technology Instructor position within the Automotive Technology program. The Automotive program offer AAS degrees with options for General Automotive or High-Performance Automotive and equips students with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed for success in today’s automotive industry. Through applied instruction and lab-based learning, students build skills in diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and performance systems. Apply today at https://statetechmo.edu/human-resources/.
Required Qualifications: 5 years work experience in the Automotive Industry, with preference given for dealership experience and current ASE certification; a bachelor's degree or the willingness to earn one; as well as excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching or training experience, as well as those with five or more years of related experience in one or more of the following areas: automotive electrical/electronic systems, Electric/Hybrid, and high-performance automotive systems.
Job Responsibilities: The Automotive Technology Instructor will provide high-quality instruction and assist in the development of courses within the Automotive Technology program. Teaching responsibilities may include areas such as Automotive Electronics, Engines, Brake Systems, Suspension and Steering, Drivetrains and Axles, Hybrid/Electric Vehicles, and Light-Duty Diesel. This position also includes advising students, supporting student learning and progression, maintaining strong connections to industry practices, and contributing to the continued success of the program.
