Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Assistant is responsible for onboarding/ orientation and assisting with recruitment. Other duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiate new hire process for salaried and non-bargaining hourly positions and monitor progress of pre-employment paperwork and processes. This includes but is not limited to:
- Background Screening
- Preemployment Drug Screening
- Onboarding paperwork tracking
- Own and facilitate weekly Orientation for all new hires/rehires (English and Spanish)
- I9 Verification
- Assist in Fleet Compliance
- Assist current Recruiter and HR Manager with creating, maintaining job posting.
- Review applications and resumes, coordinate efforts with hiring managers, pre-screen and interview candidates.
- Maintain data integrity in current HRIS system, Dynamics 365
- Assist current employees with questions and concerns as needed
- Process all VOE requests
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant, or relevant role preferred
- Experience with HRIS software (Dynamics 365 a huge plus)
- Computer literacy (MS Office Applications)
- Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills (English and Spanish)
- Must maintain insurable driving record
Physical Demands:
- Sitting
- Sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer desk
- Often 4-8 hours per day with occasional movement
- Lifting/ Pulling
- Occasionally lifting or moving office supplies (up to 50 lbs)
