Job Overview 

Requires certification/precertification of scheduled outpatient procedures to ensure no negative reimbursement to the hospital or penalty to the patient is incurred. Requires excellent communication, professional and courteous service with physician offices using the hospital for above procedures. Oversee that Work queues are worked timely and notify Coordinator/Supervisor if there is an issue. Assist in training new employees.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree, CMA, or Nursing degree preferred. Minimum of one year experience in Nursing or as Patient Access required. Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle preferred. Understanding insurance is a plus.
