Biorepository Technician
Inova Research Department is looking for a dedicated Biorepository Technician to join the team. This is a fulltime Day Shift: Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:30pm). This position is located in Annadale, VA.

Biorepository Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Following all required regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Maintains a climate of compliance/quality within the biorepository to assure highest quality of laboratory processing.
- Offers consultations for new projects and act as subject matter expert for project planning. Designs and executes laboratory experiments, be responsible for data generation, assay optimization/validation.
- Develops and manages policies, procedures, processes, and protocols for biobanking services that support the research community including tissue handling, quality control (QC) work, and access to biospecimens.
- Works actively with study teams across all Service Lines to support their needs with biobanking services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years)
Experience: 2 years of experience in a biorepository or laboratory
Certification: Pertinent research certification and human research protections training (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program, National Institute of Health) 1 month upon hire. Basic Life Support. New hires within 3 months. Current TMs within 6 months
