Duties

You will work as a journeyman Heating and Boiler Equipment Mechanic.,You will repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of industrial steam, hot water, and forced air heating systems, water softeners, chemical treatment equipment, associated steam piping, water piping, and equipment.,You will diagnose and locate malfunctions.,You will disassemble, repair, replace, and/or adjust thermostats, pressurestats, humistats, relays, switches, burner, burner controls, dampers, and automatic or electronic control devices.,You will disassemble, repair air compressors and related components; steam condensers, steam and hot water generators, traps, relief valves, pumps and motors.,You will assure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed (e.g., ensure that machine capacities are not exceeded and that tools are properly used).,You will check work in progress and when finished check compliance with supervisors' instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.,You will answer workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directions.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE to include the ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including inspecting and calibrating controls and gauges, lubricating components, examining equipment for wear and tear.
