The Box Office Supervisor oversees the event day operations of the Box Office, supervises box office ticket sellers, reinforces a guest-friendly attitude, handles guest inquiries and/or complaints, assists in preparing financial reports, and is responsible for opening and closing the box office at the PeoplesBank Arena and Pratt & Whitney Stadium.
This role pays an hourly rate of $17.50-$18.50

- Supervises and assists ticket sellers during event days/nights, which includes but is not limited to aiding with the sale process and troubleshooting mobile ticket issues and other ticketing needs.
- Delegates job duties, prepares cash drawers, and calculates the daily ticket sales at the end of the shift.
- Maintain and audit cash vault balance for accuracy, calculate daily revenue to coincide with receipts, and prepare and verify deposits accordingly.
- Share responsibilities with other supervisors to include preparing ticket sellers’ schedules, updating window displays, supervising will call and preparing guest services relocations, handling promoter inquiries, and running reports for events.
- Compiles end-of-day reports to be used by the finance department.
- Aids guests either in person or via telephone with any questions and/or problems that have been relayed by the ticket sellers.
- Always reinforces a “guest-friendly" attitude to ensure the highest level of customer service.
- Oversee the physical appearance of the box office.
- Performs all other related duties as needed.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- 2-3+ years of box office experience, minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Advanced experience with a computerized ticketing system.
- Advanced technology skills, including computers and smart phones.
- Experience in an event-driven, fast-paced environment that requires on-the-spot problem-solving.
- Able to develop teamwork amongst ticket sellers and instill the highest level of customer service.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and communication skills in both oral and written form.
- Ability to develop and train team members.
- Intermediate computer knowledge. including some experience with Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
