Role Summary

Under the direction of the Business Intelligence Director, this role provides analytical and technical support primarily to the Sales and Marketing teams, with additional cross-functional collaboration across Operations and Finance. The position is focused on developing, enhancing, and maintaining Power BI reporting solutions, evaluating performance against sales and profit goals, and proactively identifying trends, anomalies, and risks within company data.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Power BI and data-related inquiries across the organization.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders and IT, leading them through the lifecycle of gathering business requirements, identifying risks and dependencies, and developing and maintaining effective BI tools.
  • Identify and communicate meaningful trends, performance patterns, anomalies, and risks to relevant teams.
  • Provides training to sales, sales management, and other key stakeholders on Power BI and other relevant systems.
  • Develops effective training documentation and video walkthroughs. Keeps manager and key stakeholders apprised of training progress and issues.
  • Support ongoing data governance efforts, ensuring data quality, consistency, and clarity across reports and data sources.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Finance to provide ad-hoc reporting, data validation, and development support as needed.
  • Create and maintain technical and end-user documentation for reports, datasets, metrics, and processes.
  • Manage user access and permissions across Power BI workspaces.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

 

skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree required. Focus in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a business-related environment required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience with Power BI, tableau, or similar software is required.
  • Must have excellent understanding of the fundamentals of DAX or equivalent experience in Tableau, SQL, or similar software.
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of business principles.
  • Experience with Power Automate, SharePoint lists, and SQL is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate and manage multiple deadlines to help achieve business objectives.
  • Detail-oriented, results-driven self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, within a team, across internal departments and with third party vendors to drive results.
