About this role

Brosnan Risk Consultants is searching for an experienced Business AnalystThe business Analyst is expected to utilize expert techniques to engage with the business units in requirement gathering for new initiatives, projects, and ongoing challenges; document their findings clearly and work with various IT teams and vendors to address the situation.  The Business Analyst may be responsible for the lifecycle of the business requirements from documentation, development of appropriate solutions, testing and implementation.  This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide his/her development team (onshore/offshore/nearshore) and assist the user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Business Engagement:  Act as the key liaison between key stake holders, front end users and the IT team(s). 

 

  • Business requirements gathering:  Facilitate meetings with key business resources and end users to define, agree and document requirements.  Identify any business change impacts, associated risks or efficiency improvements. 

 

  • Process Flow Modelling/Process documentation:  Design and document business process workflows and document business processes. 

 

  • Solution Design:  Collaborate with the IT team(s) in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applicationsnew features, and product enhancements. 

 

  • Test Management:  Assist (where needed) with documenting test case scenarios in relation to new and enhanced functionality. 

 

  • Training & Communication Provide assistance with the training & communication strategy for the end users & support teams 

 

  • Go Live Support:  Provide post go live support to ensure a successful implementation. 

 

 

 

 

 

Form Education and Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Science, and / or 3 years equivalent work experience.  

  • 3-5 years’ experience working as a member of an information technology team. 

  • ITIL certification is a plus 

  • SQL or software development abilities is a plus 

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills required 

 

KPIs (success criteria) 

  • Clearly documented requirements to reduce wasted effort by Development/ QA 

  • Completeness of requirements to ensure large features or development items are not missed.   

  • Stakeholder Feedback/Satisfaction 

  • Percentage of rework needed due to unclear/ambiguous requirements should not exceed 10% 

  • Business Productivity increases as a result of the delivered project/enhancement.
