About this role

 

SUMMARY:  Assist the management, marketing, finance and business development functions of the Company to identify and document business growth opportunities.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  The incumbent may be required to perform all, or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity;

 

  1. Develop in-depth knowledge of Microline’s customers, products, and capabilities.
  2. Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  3. Locate and propose prospective business deals by conducting research and discovering and exploring potential opportunities.
  4. During the research phase identify potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and organizational, financial and customer impact.
  5. Develop financial models to assist in evaluating options consistent with strategic objectives by understanding business needs and goals.
  6. Collaborate with staff to help create roadmaps that intersect with customer needs.
  7. Provide product benchmarking and positioning by conducting ongoing competitive analysis to compare Microline’s products with that of the competition.

 

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may be required to perform other non-essential functions. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties as requested by their supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Bachelor degree or candidate for Bachelor or Master degree in business, life sciences or equivalent.  
  2. Working knowledge of MS Offfice suite of products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) with strong financial modeling skills.
  3. Strong research capabilities and demonstrated ability and drive to provide professional presentations.
  4. Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
