About this role
Calling all college juniors! NVR is seeking a Business Analyst Intern to join its corporate technology team for an in-person internship in Reston, VA. This role combines business analysis and financial analysis, offering hands-on experience in evaluating business processes, analyzing financial data, and supporting data-driven decision making.
If you are working towards a degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field and graduating Winter of 2026 or Spring of 2027, we would love for you to join our 2026 Internship Program!
As a Business Analyst intern, you will work cross-functionally to understand business needs and problems to provide data-driven solutions. You will analyze data to identify key patterns, themes, and areas of opportunity. You will learn about our business, visit homebuilding and plant sites, and build foundational career skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Consult with business teams to identify problems and opportunities.
- Document business requirements, processes, and proposed solutions.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of business, financial, and operational data and processes.
- Assist analysts and project teams in solution planning and requirements gathering.
- Identify root causes influencing business outcomes and challenges.
- Apply financial analyst skills to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to uncover trends and drive business improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Creative problem solver with exposure to data analytics.
- Financial analyst skills and understanding of financial concepts.
- Foundational data analysis skills with a desire to learn and grow professionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of systems analyst skills is a plus.
- Knowledge of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) is a bonus.
