We're looking for a Business Analytic Specialist, to join our team in East Baton Rouge Parish.

This position with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is in the Office of Management and Finance (OMF), Digital Services System Integration and Data Analytics sections. This position is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and analyzing complex data sets to support data-driven decision-making across the agency.

Position Duties
Six years of experience in any field plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR
A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR
An advanced degree plus two years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

- Incumbent is responsible for daily activities of the Systems Integration and Data team by obtaining, maintaining, reviewing and analyzing data concerning programs and/or operations; scope and goal; and the policies, practices, methods and procedures used to implement and maintain programs.
- The incumbent is tasked in collecting, cleaning and analyzing complex data sets to identify trends, patterns and insights.
- The role will work closely with DCFS program staff and other departments to obtain well defined data requirements and understand the data needs and provide relevant analytics support that align with the agency’s objectives.
- Incumbent will create dashboards, reports and visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, Excel or any other data analysis/reporting tools
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal vendor requirements to deliver use cases, screen and interface design, as well as acceptance criteria.
- Ensures problem solutions, appropriate risk reductions, and business unit satisfactions.
- The incumbent is responsible for reviewing, managing and monitoring personal services contracts, Data Sharing Agreements (DSA) and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) as related to DCFS projects.
- Incumbent must establish and maintain engagement and approval by Office of Technology Services (OTS) that include technology to include service strategy, service design, service operations, information technology contracts, budget preparation and invoicing.
- Performs any other duties as assigned in support of the mission of OMF and DCFS as directed by Digital Service management.

Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
