At BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems (SMS), we develop and manufacture state-of-the-art space hardware supporting our Military, National, and Civil space customers. Our growing Mission and Process Analytics (MPA) team delivers analytics solutions to solve operational problems across the business through reports, dashboards, AI-enabled solutions, and more.
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
What You’ll Do:
- Follow the MPA project lifecycle, data Integration, reporting processes, and best practices.
- Resolve moderate impact ITS ticketing system incidents independently, ensuring thorough documentation
- Complete simple projects independently.
- Complex project work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy by a mentor.
- Understand the Data Integration, Reporting, and incident management processes.
- Provide peer reviews for simple projects.
- Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
- Adhere to budgeted project hours and milestone dates.
- Errors have minimal impact on company time and resources.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.
- Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and SSRS.
