Job Description:
This job is responsible for managing the coordination and delivery of diverse administrative functions for a department or line of business. Key responsibilities include acting as a central point of contact for senior leadership routines and activities, financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, associate training, service quality, process improvements, business continuity, and communications. Job expectations include interacting with a wide variety of business partners to deliver strategic work efforts to ensure tactical priorities are met.
The Global Infrastructure Credit (GIC) COO team manages diverse administrative functions for a very large, complex business unit. COO functions managed may include: financial control / budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit / compliance, premises, coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. The GIC Business Support Manager (BSM) will be a key member of the COO team and will be responsible for ensuring data quality, analyzing trends, and developing portfolio reporting. The BSM will provide day-to-day support to senior management for the governance and control framework, improving metrics, and driving process efficiencies and best practice initiatives, in consultation with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates. Through this role, the BSM will gain a thorough knowledge of GIC’s functional area or products, and of general bank policies, programs, procedures, and financial / accounting practices.
The GIC team supports responsible growth in sustainable, renewable energy finance, core (power), and digital infrastructure, and further deliver on the bank’s commitment to help society transition to a low-carbon economy. The GIC Team covers transactions for Corporate Lending, Tax Equity, and Project Finance through the involvement in the origination and underwriting of transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Leads communication, coordination and connectivity across the leadership team
- Partners with peers and control partners to ensure strong engagement and adherence to risk management and operational risk policies and processes
- Drives the successful execution of team events and routines, including logistics, communications and gathering feedback
- Develops comprehensive plans around key organizational priorities and ensures all accountable parties understand respective roles/responsibilities
- Partners with reporting and analytics team to ensure accurate reporting while seeking opportunities to reduce manual processes
- Assists senior executive and team with a full range of engagements, including process improvement and project initiatives
- Provides oversight of key deliverables and validates accurate and timely completion
- Execute data quality checks and analyze potential findings to ensure correct reporting
- Produce high quality presentations and management information for senior management leveraging Tableau reporting and Excel analysis
- Work with reporting teams in Enterprise Credit, Finance, and Enterprise Credit Risk to enhance portfolio management analytics and coordinate across different Front Line units to develop consistent solutions across GRE Credit Portfolio
- Assist with the governance and control framework
- Coordinate communication projects, e.g. town halls, off-sites, and employee engagement
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in finance, reporting, business support, business control and/or project management.
- High degree of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly PowerPoint Excel, and Tableau
- Ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
- Excellent skills in reporting and management information production, understanding of the firm’s credit portfolio reporting architecture
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in a related business management function
- Strong understanding of risk and credit exposure measurement techniques; and the firm’s client underwriting
- Familiarity with SPI / Pop Operational Excellence processes
- Familiarity with GCIB, GMC, and Leasing policies and procedures and experience at building out Policies & Procedures
- Awareness and understanding of the wider business, market, and regulatory environment in which the firm operates, and how that potentially impacts GRE Credit’s business model or client portfolio
