We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Labor Accounting team in Poway, CA.  Under close supervision, this position performs a variety of complex labor accounting and systems support activities for Labor Accounting.  This role requires interfacing with internal stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with solutions developed by the Business Analyst team.  This role will assist with monitoring and maintaining the current timekeeping system interfaces between SAP, AMPS (MES) and AutoTime.  Assists with compiling, analyzing, and reporting labor accounting data for manufacturing, project managers, division directors and senior management.  A successful team member must be analytical, customer-focused, and adaptable, with the flexibility to support evolving business requirements in both a technical and non-technical environment and willing to take on any task (simple or complex) to assist the team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and supports an administration framework to monitor application workflows, document user feedback, and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Compiles, prepares, reviews, reconciles and corrects labor and payroll data across multiple systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity. 
  • Performs detailed and complex analysis of labor and payroll data, including ad-hoc reporting. 
  • Troubleshoots system and data issues and recommends process and system improvements.
  • Supports internal organizations with timecard processing, payroll/labor account reconciliations, and specialized timekeeping training and to provide high-quality customer service through frequent phone and email communication with internal stakeholders. 
  • Facilitates customer outreach through informational briefings, training sessions, and application walkthroughs.
  • Performs complex and repetitive labor accounting projects with a focus on identifying automation and efficiency improvements. 
  • Coordinates with the Labor Accounting team to create, update, and maintain training materials and system documentation. Partners with stakeholders to identify training requirements and coordinates training schedules.
  • Ensures alignment with internal company policies and guidelines for solutions, including creation and submission of company-required documentation.
  • Coordinates, tracks, and reports on the progress of assigned work, projects, and issue resolution.
  • May maintain department-related content on company intranet.
  • Responds to routine verbal and written requests for information from internal sources.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information, payroll, labor, and employee data.
  • Provides a customer focused approach to requested information from other members of the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree with knowledge of business practices, techniques, standards and related software/hardware, and computer systems. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Experience facilitating and coordinating interactions between business system end-users and technical staff.
  • Strong functional and technical analytic problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills; capable of collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and team members.
  • Proficient with various software suites including but not limited to: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Power BI.
  • Must be able to manage several projects, tickets and deliverables in a fast-paced environment and multi-task without sacrificing quality of work. 
  • Knowledge of general business processes in human resources, timekeeping, and payroll areas. 
  • Advanced excel skills are required to create and maintain complex spreadsheets with advanced Excel functions and formulas. 
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
  • Must be able to work extended hours, including weekends, as necessary to meet goals or address time-sensitive issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SharePoint or related database/collaboration software is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Oracle/SQL.
  • SAP experience.
  • Basic project management skills.
