About this role

The Cage Supervisor at Harrah's Hoosier Park oversees the daily operations of the casino cage, ensuring accurate handling, security, and accountability of company funds while delivering exceptional guest service. This role supervises cage staff, manages scheduling, enforces gaming regulations and internal controls, and resolves customer and team member issues. The Cage Supervisor leads by example to create a positive, engaging environment aligned with Caesars’ mission to “Create the Extraordinary,” while maintaining compliance, operational efficiency, and a strong focus on teamwork and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • The Cage Supervisor will provide excellent internal and external guest service.

  • Coordinates and supervises the controls and procedures of the Cage Cashiers; to include the securing of company funds and accountability of all monies and routing of paperwork.

  • Responsible for scheduling of team members in the cage and ensuring coverage levels are adequate to provide excellent customer service.

  • Resolves customer complaints regarding cage matters and works with other casino departments to facilitate resolution on team member issues.

  • Responsible for enforcement of gaming regulations, internal controls and company policies and procedures.

  • Performs functions of main banker or cage cashier when needed

  • Other duties are assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Proficient in English verbal and written with the ability to read, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write simple reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Associates degree (A.S.) from two-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
  • Flexible with working various shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours if applicable. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
  • Responsible for fostering a fun environment, being gracious to all guests and co-workers, and for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company- sponsored events. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures that behavior and appearance comply with established standards. Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able regularly push/pull or lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally push/pull or lift up to 25 pounds.  
  • Specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission. Will require access to all general areas of the gaming facility and the cage, count room, and main bank areas and must regularly access patron personal data including credit information, the player data base, financial records, and personnel/payroll records.      
  • Ability to work in an environment where you are exposed to secondary smoke, frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock, occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and the noise level in the working environment is usually high.
