About this role

Job Summary

  • Conduct workshops for CECS students on a variety of topics designed to support student success, engagement, and academic development.
  • Host scheduled in-person and virtual office hours to provide peer advising support and respond to student questions.
  • Monitor and respond to student inquiries through the peer advising email account in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other ELC peer advisors to support programming, outreach, and student engagement efforts.
  • Provide accurate information about ELC services, CECS resources, and relevant campus support services.
  • Refer students to appropriate professional staff or campus resources as needed.

Required Qualifications*

Must be a current undergraduate student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Engineering.

Desired Qualifications*

Past experience in tutoring or working with students.

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Work Schedule

20 hours a week and flexibility with class schedule. 

Work Locations

  • In person ELB 1084 
  • Will be working with students through virtual hours and in person.
