Position: Integrated Transitional Kindergarten Teacher – Bernice Vossbeck Elementary School
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Washington State Teacher Certification with Dual Endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education and Early
Childhood Education
Knowledge of early childhood development and instructional strategies for enhancing development in young children
Possess energy and enthusiasm
Work collaboratively with other district educators
Successful experience working with preschool students
Successful preschool teaching experience implementing service delivery model for students impacted
moderately/severely by disability
Experience implementing RTI behavior model
Experience working in a developmental preschool model with children who have a range of cognitive, physical,
physical, language, health, social and behavioral needs
Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the planning and implementation of specially designed
instruction for preschool students
Experience in providing staff development for instructional staff regarding disabilities, special education laws and
services, and classroom accommodations, and modifications
Provide training and support to para educators who work with special education students
Demonstrated effectiveness in partnering with parents to implement IEP’s for students with complex needs
Work collaboratively with other special education teachers/service providers and school staff to complete tasks
related to the identification and evaluation/re-evaluation of students with disabilities
Experience teaching English Language Learners preferred
Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (preferred) and/or willingness to be trained
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work Year: 2026-2027 school year; Continuing Position
Starting Date: August 26, 2026
FTE: 1.0 FTE
Hours: 7 hours per day; Monday - Friday; 7:50 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.
Salary: Per negotiated LEA contract. The 25/26 Salary Range for 1.0 FTE is $ 69,031 - $ 136,249 dependent upon degree, credits,
and school district teaching experience.
Benefits: This position qualifies for healthcare benefits (medical insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, life insurance,
and disability insurance), retirement benefits, up to 12 days of sick leave, and up to three (3) days of personal leave per school
year. (Days of sick leave and personal leave are prorated based on employee start date.
Affiliation: This is an LEA represented position – Internal candidates with Lynden School District LEA teacher seniority have
