Certified Medical Assistant Lead - Pediatrics

Novant Health Pediatrics After Hours is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant Lead!

In this role, you'll be supporting both the After Hours Carmel and After Hours Poplar Tent locations.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday-Sunday 10:00am-6:00pm

Week A- 20 hours Carmel and 12 hours Poplar Tent

Week B- 20 hours Poplar Tent and 12 hours Carmel

The role of the CMA Lead is to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the following:

• Precepting New CMAs

• Vaccine Administration and Management

• Supply Ordering and Inventory Control

• Clinical Audits

• Laboratory Support

• Verge Entries

• Education:High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant requirements: Graduate of Certified Medical Assistant program. Certifications allowed through American Association of Medical Assistants. Registered Medical Assistant requirements:Registry allowed through Association of Medical Technologists.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical setting, preferred
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification as CMA or RMA, required.
• Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
