Up to 10 HrsJob Description Summary
Provide general administrative and operational support for the Chapman University Choral Program.
Responsibilities
• Serve as a liaison between ensemble members and the Director of Choral Activities
• Assist the Director of Choral Activities with administrative tasks and special projects
• Coordinate and communicate rehearsal, concert, tour, and event logistics with faculty, staff, students, and external
partners
• Assist in planning and executing the annual Chapman Choral Festival, including communication with participating
schools and directors
• Help coordinate guest artist residencies, clinics, workshops, and masterclasses
• Organize and assist with ensemble auditions and callbacks during the academic year and summer audition periods
• Coordinate performance logistics with the Musco Center staff, accompanists, stage managers, and collaborative
artists
• Assist with concert production needs including programs, stage setup coordination, attendance tracking, and
front-of-house communication
• Delegate responsibilities to student leadership staff and coordinate workflow with the choral library team
• Assist librarian(s) with the preparation, distribution, collection, and organization of choral music and folders at the
beginning and end of each semester
• Help organize recruitment events, outreach activities, and community engagement initiatives
• Plan and implement special events for the choral area, including retreats, social gatherings, and student appreciation
events
• Maintain professional and timely communication on behalf of the choral area as needed
• Execute other duties as assigned by the Director of Choral Activities

Required Qualifications
• Little to minimal prior experience required
• Ability to learn administrative and organizational processes quickly
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

Desired Qualifications
• Music major or minor preferred
• Current or former member of a Chapman choral ensemble preferred
• Interest in arts administration, music education, or ensemble leadership
