Position Duties

This position plays a key role in providing vehicle information and supporting customers and agencies that depend on accurate records. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Record Research: Research vehicle information records for public and agency requests
  • Form Review: Examine DL-135 forms and attached documents for completeness before processing
  • Customer Response: Provide accurate and timely replies to customer inquiries
  • Data Interpretation: Interpret information from the vehicle record system to ensure correct processing
  • Document Matching: Select proper documents from microfilm or ECS and match them to incoming requests
  • Professional Communication: Communicate courteously with the public, messenger services, and legislative offices

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.  
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. 
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831.00 (before taxes).

Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
