The Clerical Assistant 2 position with the Lycoming County Assistance Office offers a chance to support a program that helps families meet essential heating needs. Position Duties
This is a full-time, seasonal position that typically runs for 6-8 months during the fall and winter seasons to assist clients in the process of applying for heating assistance. This position supports the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program by handling a wide range of clerical tasks that keep daily operations functioning well. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Scanning and Imaging: Scan documents, modify electronic image sets, and keep scanning equipment clean
- Data Entry: Enter information into automated systems such as CIS and Mapper
- Inquiry Tasks: Access automated systems to obtain needed information
- Filing Work: File documents and purge case records according to the retention schedule
- Reception Duties: Greet visitors, collect accurate information, and refer individuals appropriately
- Sorting and Distribution: Review and sort mail, logs, and printouts and send items to the correct recipients

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Seasonal full-time employment
- This position typically runs for 6-8 months during the fall and winter seasons
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part-time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Williamsport, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.83 (before taxes).

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Lycoming County. If no eligible candidates who live within Lycoming County apply for this position candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
