Position Duties
This position provides clerical and administrative support to the Maintenance Department, helping staff manage documents, requests, reports, and daily operational needs. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Administrative Support: Compose correspondence, prepare reports, arrange schedules, and organize documents for departmental needs
- Service Requests: Receive maintenance requests by phone or radio and enter them into the automated work order system
- Order Processing: Manage supply orders, track deliveries, and complete purchasing tasks using the SAP and SRM systems
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed files, logs, and records related to maintenance work, employee information, and departmental reporting
- Communication Tasks: Interact with staff, vendors, and visitors to exchange information needed for operational and reporting requirements
- Inventory Control: Monitor distribution and record keeping of keys, radios, and other maintenance equipment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Hours may change based on operational needs.

- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
