Position Duties
With our team, you will be responsible for completing a variety of clerical functions that are essential for ensuring Children and Youth services’ cases are accurate and up to date. This position is assigned to Drexel Hill Unit; however, you may be expected to provide clerical coverage in other Delaware County office sites as needed. As a Clerk Typist 2, your responsibilities will include:
- Clerical Casework Support: Type and proofread of any and all case material including case records, forms, correspondence, and court summaries
- File Maintenance: Scan, file, copy, and update case material documents and records
- Receptionist Duties: Greet and assist office visitors, operate the switchboard, make and monitor room reservations; and interact with co-workers, agency staff, clients, and professionals
- Client Assistance: Dispense tokens, gift cards, and Septa passes; log drug test kits
- General Office Work: Maintain and distribute supplies and forms, take minutes at assigned meetings, monitor and provide routine maintenance for fax machine and other office equipment, and perform other clerical functions as assigned
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
- Any combination of equivalent experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
