Schedule: PRN - 2nd shift availability (anywhere from 12:30pm-11pm) and 1st shift availability (7:30am-4pm) 
 

Novant Health is seeking a PRN Clinical Pharmacist Generalist to join our acute care team at Rowan Medical Center. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered pharmaceutical care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

This position is ideal for a pharmacist who is passionate about clinical excellence, teamwork, and building meaningful relationships with patients and their support system

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification. PhD, Preferred. Doctorate of Pharmacy.
  • Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy, Preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, Required. Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification, Preferred.
  • Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
What You'll Do:
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services across acute care settings
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to develop and optimize individualized treatment plans
  • Review and verify medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness
  • Monitor patient medication therapy and adjust recommendations based on clinical outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members on medication use
  • Document interventions and clinical activities in accordance with system standards
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
