Your impact

As a Cloud Applications Engineer (SRE, Early Career) at OpenText, you will help deliver and operate containerized Content Server (CS) Platform–based solutions on Kubernetes across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and Google GKE.

This is a hands-on, learning-focused role where you will gain exposure across the full application lifecycle, including deployment, automation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and production support. You will work closely with internal teams and customers, building technical skills and confidence in supporting enterprise systems in a multi-cloud environment.

What the role offers

  • Learn to deploy and operate containerized applications on Kubernetes in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

  • Assist with production deployments, upgrades, patching, and live incident troubleshooting

  • Help build and maintain automation using Helm, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Troubleshoot application, networking, and platform issues while meeting SLAs

  • Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and third-party partners

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with mentorship and guidance

What you need to succeed

  • Recently graduated or 0–3 years of engineering experience, ideally with exposure to cloud or DevOps practices

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts (pods, deployments, services, configmaps, secrets)

  • Experience with one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus

  • Basic understanding of automation tools such as Helm or Ansible

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred) and Linux/Bash fundamentals

  • Curious about networking concepts (HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, DNS, load balancing) and eager to learn
