Job Description
As a Cloud Systems Engineer, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to help design, develop, and implement highly available and secure private and public cloud-based solutions that support business needs. In this role, you will share responsibility for monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting cloud systems to help ensure reliability, performance, and security.
In addition, you will also:
• Support projects migrating on-premises applications to cloud based solutions.
• Perform daily checks, verify system health, and apply updates/patches.
• Assist with managing hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platforms, preferably Nutanix, including compute, storage, and virtualization components.
• Develop scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible Playbooks) to automate routine tasks and workflows.
• Assist in implementing security measures and ensuring adherence to policies and compliance.
• Build secure cloud solutions in public clouds such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Monitor resource usage, optimize performance, and help manage cloud costs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, developers, and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Help document infrastructure configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
This position is not eligible for remote work and would require you to work onsite at our headquarters in Monroe, WI.

Qualifications
This role requires a collaborative communicator with foundational experience or exposure to cloud engineering or cloud architecture. The ideal candidate is able to understand internal and external customer business requirements and, with guidance, help translate them into scalable cloud solutions. A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, along with 1–3 years of related IT experience or equivalent practical experience.
In addition, we are looking for:
• Understanding of cloud services such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Understanding of Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) concepts and architectures (Nutanix preferred).
• Hands-on experience or exposure to cloud engineering with Azure and AWS (AWS preferred).
• Proficient in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code methodologies, with experience in Terraform and YAML.
• Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts.
• PowerShell and Python scripting experience preferred.
