Agile Decision Sciences LLC is looking for a Communications Specialist. This position supports NASA’s Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) program which serves as the program office for all the agency’s space communications and navigation capabilities. This position supports NASA HQ and collaborates closely with teams at other NASA centers including Goddard Space Flight Research Center (GSFC), Glenn Research Center (GRC), and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).

SCaN’s Strategic Communications team is responsible for managing the program’s internal and external communications and serves as the designated authority on SCaN’s communication strategies and messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update content across communication channels, including websites, and social media platforms.
  • Support communication campaigns that promote organizational initiatives, programs, events, and strategic priorities.
  • Responsible for coordinating and integrating communication strategies, products, and messaging across multiple communication disciplines and platforms.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining consistent messaging across a full spectrum of communication products and channels.
  • Responsible for a broad range of communication initiatives and outreach activities that educate, inform, and build relationships with SCaN stakeholders.
  • Duties include writing, editing, and proofreading communication products to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organizational standards. May be required to contribute to high-level executive communications including quick turnaround responses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and develop messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Maintain communication calendars and coordinate content development and publication schedules.
  • Ensure all communications align with organizational branding, voice, and messaging standards.
  • May provide support for leadership communications, presentations, and talking points, and time sensitive response materials.
  • Provide event planning and logistical support for in-person and virtual events.
  • Directly interface with SCaN management and/or customers. Responsible for generating routine and/or ad-hoc reports for SCaN management as well as contract reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required with 2-4 years of experience
  • Previous experience at NASA or in the aerospace industry is greatly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills are required. Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or social media content development is beneficial.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills and strong editing and proofreading abilities. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • The content will be technical in nature, so the individual will be expected to learn general information about the major projects team is working on and key terminology.
  • Applicants must be U.S citizens. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • This position is anticipated to be hybrid; onsite 3 days a week at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC, or NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD depending on customer needs.
