Concrete Finisher Helper

1.  Communicates with Concrete Finishers and others to perform job tasks.
2. Mixes grout, using a drill or concrete mixing machine.
3. Flags concrete trucks, collects tickets, and verifies correct mix designs are being placed.
4. Removes rough or defective spots from concrete using a grinder, hammer, and / or chisel.
5. Wets and rubs concrete with an abrasive stone to impart the appropriate finish.
6. Screeds, floats, and trowels poured concrete floors, walls, and sidewalks to specified textures using hand tools or power tools.
7. Directs concrete to the forms and spreads it to a specified depth and workable consistency.
8. Molds expansion joints and edges using jointers, straight edge, and edging tools.
9. Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
10. Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
11. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
12. Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with / without tools and building materials.
13. Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
14. Safely operates power tools and equipment.
15. Must be able to stand or walk on rebar mats (narrow surfaces).
16. Must be able to climb ladders or stairs and work at heights.
17. Adheres to all safety procedures.
18. Typically requires a minimum of 6 months industrial construction experience.
