Construction Structural Estimator (Xactimate Required)

SERVPRO is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to support our reconstruction operations. This role serves as a key liaison between insureds/client, field teams, office staff, and insurance carriers, ensuring accurate project scoping, estimating, and documentation in compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, and experienced in Xactimate estimating, with a strong understanding of residential construction.  Commercial construction experience is a plus but is not required. Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate and timely construction estimates using Xactimate pricing estimate software in accordance with insurance carrier guidelines (Symbility experience a plus).
  • Review and interpret job scopes, photos, measurements, and supporting documentation from field teams.
  • Develop detailed reconstruction estimates including structural repairs, finishes, and code upgrades.
  • Monitor job file progress, including work-in-progress (WIP), estimate revisions, and approvals.
  • Prepare and maintain complete job file documentation for internal review and insurance audits.
  • Communicate effectively with Clients/Insureds, Project Managers, subcontractors, and insurance adjusters.
  • Assist with estimate supplements, revisions, and negotiations with carriers.
  • Ensure all estimates align with project scope, local building codes, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects move efficiently from estimate to completion.
 Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, additional education in construction management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of construction estimating experience.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate estimating software.
  • Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction methods and materials.
  • Familiarity with insurance claims and reconstruction processes (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimating projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for communicating with customers and industry professionals on a daily basis and create documentation and validation of work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction scopes and documentation.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong customer service and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Deadlines are imposed upon our work with strict timelines, must be able to flourish in this fast-paced industry 
Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Driving to and from jobsites, accessing all portions of resindental structures frequently, occasionally in attics and crawlspaces. 
  • Safe use of ladder with NO PHYSICAL RESTRICTIONS to access roofs required.
  • Safe ability to access crawlspaces with NO PHYSICAL RESTRICTIONS required.
  • Safe ability to access attics with NO PHYSICAL RESTRICTIONS required.
  • Lifting, bending, and standing with NO PHYSICAL RESTRICTIONS required.
  • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.
 Schedule

  • Full-time position: Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Flexibility may be required based on project demands.
