Consultant, Government Outsourced Accounting

The Public Sector Advisory team helps government entities strengthen financial performance, enhance operations, and manage risk. By promoting transparency and accountability, the team empowers clients to manage public funds effectively and stay mission-focused.  What You Will Do:  Participate and support projects that assist government finance departments in preparing for their annual audit  Perform bank reconciliations, pension and post-employment benefit accruals, lease and subscription-based information technology arrangements, capital asset tracking and depreciation, and other annual accounting entries  Assist in assessments of client’s finance-related internal controls and make recommendations for improvement  Assist in the implementation of new GASB standards  Assist in the drafting of annual comprehensive financial reports using the firms in-house web-based platform  Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.  1+ years of relevant experience in accounting and/or consulting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite  Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s Degree Prior public accounting or consulting experience  Experience working within the government or public sector industry  Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
