Basic Job Functions:

  • Show urgency in addressing the needs of the production and support departments within the division
  • Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on facility and facility equipment
  • Help drive continuous improvements in the business
  • Operating powered tools, industrial powered equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Effectively communicating with upstream and downstream Team Members to address safety, quality and efficiency issues/concerns
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preventative maintenance expertise – Routine inspections, early issue detection, and timely repairs to reduce downtime
  • Advanced troubleshooting – Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Automation & process improvement – Identify and implement efficiency and reliability enhancements
  • Overhead crane systems – Experience with VFDs, inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Powered industrial truck maintenance – Inspect, service, and repair forklifts and similar equipment; ensure safety and compliance
