We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role will support key HR functions with a primary focus on benefits and general HR administration. It is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career HR professional who is proactive, eager to learn, and ready to grow within a fast‑paced CPA firm environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Benefits Administration
- Assist the HR Benefits Director and HR Benefits Generalist with day‑to‑day benefits administration, including enrollments, leave of absence, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries.
- Conduct new‑hire benefits orientation, ensuring employees understand available plans, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
- Support annual open enrollment process, including communication, tracking, and system updates.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including but not limited to, monthly ACA reconciliation.
- Maintain and update the firm’s Wellness Newsletter, including gathering content, drafting updates, and coordinating distribution.
- Support wellness‑related initiatives, events, and communications throughout the year.
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Assist the HR team with new hire onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed.
Other
- Help coordinate HR events and activities across multiple office locations.
- Support special HR projects and initiatives as they arise.
- Ad hoc projects and administrative support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The anticipated start date for this position is July 2026.
- Must be able to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
- 0-1+ years of HR experience or a completed HR internship, with exposure to benefits administration strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a public accounting or professional services firm a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills are essential.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems; UKG experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with various team members and stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other PKFOD office locations as business needs require, via personal vehicle or public transit.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 - $67,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
