About this role
Evaluates customer needs and prepares reports, assuring integrity of financial and supply chain data, via presentation or review of general ledger, SCM data warehouse, dashboards, or other analysis.
Utilizes appropriate reporting tools and resources in decision making, problem solving and development of SCM financial information.
Provides support to higher level analysts and leadership, working in a team environment.
Communicates and presents information to various audiences.
May develop expertise and/or become primary owner of a technical process.
Interprets and applies supply chain policies and procedures.
Proactively identifies and communicates problems and opportunities and seeks input and participation in implementing solutions.
Assists in the development of variable-sensitive business models.
Provides analysis to department and institutional leadership.
May mentor, coach and train staff.
The sequestration role works proactively with suppliers to establish Mayo Enterprise lot reserves for 250+ products across 25 different suppliers for inventory valued at approximately $15M. Daily collaboration with internal stakeholders both across Supply Chain and the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology (DLMP).
Day to day work requires:
- Active & strong communication between several stakeholders: Suppliers, DLMP Lab Technicians, P2P Specialists, and Lab Clinical Support Services teams
- Proficient understanding of supply chain systems, processes and life cycle for both monitoring stocking levels and creating product and lot level forecasts
- Gathering, analyzing and interpreting data to inform decision-making
Upcoming strategic work:
- Transitioning and optimizing the use of Surgence application for forecasting and stock level monitoring
- Developing definitions of products that would qualify for sequestration
- Growing the portfolio of products to create additional value back to Mayo Clinic
- Exploring varying service lines (e.g. systematically supporting forecasting for items with long manufacturing lead times)
A strong candidate would be:
- Customer-service oriented
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Comfortable with the Microsoft suite of tools and navigating internal supply chain systems and tools
- Someone that is tech-forward as the program will be transitioning to be an application in Surgence
- Comfortable advocating for Mayo Clinic to external suppliers (sometimes requiring professionally challenging conversations)
- Able to navigate decisions where not all desired intelligence is readily available

This is a hybrid position and must be located within 100 miles of a Mayo Clinic campus for occasional on-site expectations based on business needs.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related field with a minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in health care, supply chain logistics, finance, business, nursing or related field required. Certifications may be considered in lieu of experience.
Master's degree preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong investigational skills, shows attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Solid customer-service skills; understands and addresses customer needs in a timely manner. Ability to work in a team environment and develop constructive working relationships with others. Demonstrated abilities in developing strong relationships with physicians, clinicians, executives and vendors in order to facilitate and enhance SCM best business practices leading to extensive year over year non-labor SCM expense reductions.
