Key Job Elements
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts and maintain supporting documentation for multiple legal entities
• Assist with Cartus employee relocation
• Assist in reconciling relevant year-end reporting
• Monthly headcount roll forward and reconciliation
• Various accounting closing task and entries
• Responsible for data request by CAT Compensation and Benefits Department
• Aid in tax and 401k audits
• Assist in workers compensation audits
• Responsible for 941, 940 and other tax returns
• Assist in processing and reporting of Certified Payrolls for Government-related projects
• Assist Corporate Compliance in Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls testing
• Understand and insure compliance with Company’s accounting/payroll policies
• Understand and insure compliance with Company’s SOX controls
• Other accounting/payroll duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience
• Experience with a payroll system preferably PeopleSoft is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
• Analytical, problem solving skills
• General knowledge of accounting processes
• Good Interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail oriented, sense of urgency, follow through in routine tasks
• Strong organization skills, able to consistently meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and also contribute in a team environment
Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength – Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Occasional standing and
walking. Heavy lifting is rare but may be required;
• Motion – Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated
with office communications. May require bending, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, walking,

etc. in cases where Safety investigations require them;
• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
• Work Environment – Position may involve occasional work in a non-temperature-controlled facility.
Position will require occasional visits to industrial environment, including potential for noise (85+
decibels), frequent exposure to cold and temperature changes, exposure to hazardous materials, heavy
equipment, high levels of dust, and other hazardous working conditions. May be required to remain for
long periods of time in hazardous work environments to investigate and mitigate accidents/incidents;
• Emotional Demands – Responsible for audits and reporting. Requires interpersonal skills and
communication;
• Safety – Position required to follow all safety guidelines and requirements.
