Corporate Accounting Clerk

Job Summary:
 The Corporate Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and financial tasks. This role ensures accurate processing of financial transactions, maintains records, and assists with day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions 
  • Prepare and post journal entries 
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies 
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation 
  • Assist with invoicing, billing, and collections 
  • Review and verify invoices and expense reports 
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes 
  • Enter data into accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) 
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding financial transactions 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred 
  • 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience 
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (AP/AR, debits/credits) 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP/SAP systems 
  • Strong data entry accuracy and speed 
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines 

Work Environment:

  • Typically office-based (onsite or hybrid depending on company) 
  • Standard business hours with occasional overtime during close periods
