Position Summary
As a Director, Corporate Accounts at STERIS, you are responsible for successfully managing key corporate Customer relationships for the entire STERIS enterprise. Your focus will be on large IDNs or GPOs to develop long-term relationships and maintain a favorable image as a Customer-focused healthcare leader. Through these efforts, you will identify and develop alternative market opportunities by establishing and leveraging contacts that are not a part of the field sales representative’s normal call patterns. You should have a strong knowledge of STERIS’s products and services but be well versed on internal capabilities that can be leveraged to support large Customers more effectively, both internally and externally.
This territory includes Chicago, Detroit, and Indianapolis. Candidates must reside near these metro areas and close proximty to a major airport.
What you will do as a Corporate Accounts Director
- Manage internal and external resources to ensure successful contract negotiations and implementation.
- Meet with IDN or GPO executives to negotiate compliance-oriented agreements with Corporate Accounts.
- Ensure the success of existing and new products and services through focused programs of Corporate Accounts, and as a field sales support mechanism.
- Develop and implement the strategies and tactics necessary for successful penetration of Corporate Accounts. Manage all aspects of Corporate Account agreements from inception, non-normal business transactions through termination, or renewal of the agreement.
- Provide progress reports and other statistical analysis to Corporate Senior Management as required to assist with determining the success and profitability for all contracted accounts.
- Identify opportunities to increase existing business, managing a range of ten to fifteen accounts of either GPOs or IDNs.
- Develop strategy for the specific opportunities, execute strategy, communicate results, and adjust strategy as needed and redeploy resources.
- Collaborate with field and corporate management to regularly evaluate targets and determine program focus and priority based on the Customer.
- Develop and manage strategy for pricing models, develop reporting to meet Customer needs, deploy internal resources to manage contract details, and plan and present enterprise business reviews.
- Monitor and enforce the compliance expectations Corporate Accounts Customers have committed to in agreements.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7 years of documented successful healthcare sales experience
- 2 years of sales management or corporate/key accounts/strategic accounts experience
- Ability to travel overnight up to 60-70%
- Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
- Other:
- Demonstrated negotiation experience in medical device, capital products, and services
- Demonstrated ability to lead and/or influence a cross functional team and operate successfully in a highly complex medical device environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Pay range for this opportunity is $144,500.00 - $187,000.00. This position is incentive plan eligible, at target earnings of $195,075.00 - $252,450.00, depending on performance.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
