We are currently looking for a recruiter to join our Corporate Human Resources Department. This position is in our downtown Cincinnati, OH office and will be responsible for partnering with business leaders to actively source and recruit talent to meet our short and long-term objectives.

Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays as business needs allow.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Sources candidates through various recruiting channels including web tools, college recruiting, networking and referrals.
  • Actively recruits and interviews qualified talent to meet business needs.
  • Reviews and evaluates applicant’s work history, education, training and other qualifications.
  • Conducts recruiting strategy meetings with hiring managers.
  • Assists with managing the on-boarding process for all new employees including pre-employment screening, coordinating offer letters, and travel arrangements.
  • Develops behavioral based and competency-based interview questions to assist in the selection process.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and coordinates new hire and pre-hire paperwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in a corporate environment, but recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications or related field will also be considered.
  • Prior HR or Recruiting experience is helpful but not required.
  • Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft products. 
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn, experiment with, and adopt new technologies to enhance recruiting processes.
  • Must have the ability to handle confidential information and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
