TA Plus (TA+) is an innovative digital platform designed to empower older adults to live purposeful, connected, and engaged lives. As part of Transforming Age, a nonprofit organization committed to shifting how aging is perceived and experienced, we build technology, community services, and partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for older adults. TA+ helps seniors and their families stay engaged, informed, and supported as they explore living options and care services.
We are hiring a Social Media Summer Intern to help shape the public presence of TA+. This internship is ideal for someone who is creative, strategic, and passionate about making an impact through digital storytelling and community engagement.
The intern will work with our TA Plus President and Director of Communications to establish and grow the social media footprint for TA+, develop campaigns that resonate with older adults and family caregivers, and create marketing materials that help raise awareness of the platform. You will work closely with the Director of Operations and collaborate with product and community teams to bring the TA+ mission to life across channels.
Our TA Plus Social Media Summer Intern:
- Establishes TA+ social media accounts across recommended platforms.
- Creates a social media strategy focused on older adults, families, and caregivers.
- Plans and publish engaging content including posts, stories, videos, and graphics.
- Develops a consistent content calendar aligned to themes of active aging and community engagement.
- Monitors engagement metrics and provide recommendations for growth.
- Designs targeted ca.mpaigns for older adults and ARC (Active Role in Care) personas.
- Creates messaging and creative assets for awareness and engagement.
- Explores opportunities for partnerships, community stories, and user spotlights.
- Designs flyers, posters, one-page overviews, and digital graphics.
- Develops print and digital materials for events and community outreach.
- Build brand-aligned templates that can be used for ongoing marketing efforts.
- Tracks performance of social media content and campaigns.
- Provides weekly insights on reach, engagement, and opportunities to improve.
- Recommends future social media and marketing strategies based on performance.
What you need to succeed:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong interest in social media strategy, content creation, and audience engagement.
- Ability to create compelling visual and written content.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort using design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platforms.
Preferred:
- Experience managing or creating content for social media accounts.
- Knowledge of older adult audiences or caregiver communities.
- Familiarity with basic analytics tools.
- Interest in social impact, aging services, health tech, or community engagement.
- Experience with short-form video creation is helpful but not required.
