We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Tax Analyst to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of corporate taxation, including sales, property, and income tax. This is an ideal position for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a robust foundation in corporate tax compliance and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Income Tax Compliance & Provision Support

  • Workpaper Preparation: Assist gathering of financial data and the creation of detailed tax workpapers to support federal and state income tax returns.
  • External Provider Support: Assist the Tax team in coordinating with external tax consultants, ensuring all requested data is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Technical Review: Assist in the initial review of proforma returns and help calculate state apportionment factors (property, payroll, and sales) to ensure filing accuracy.
  • Quarterly Provision Assistance: Support the ASC 740 tax provision process by preparing schedules for effective tax rates and tracking deferred tax assets/liabilities.
  • Payment Administration: Manage the administrative lifecycle for quarterly estimated tax payments, extensions, and vouchers, ensuring all filings are tracked and payments are processed timely.

Property Tax Coordination

  • Data Collection: Oversee the collection of fixed asset reports and real estate data required by external partners for property tax return preparation.
  • Review & Oversight: Assist the Tax team in reviewing prepared property tax returns and assessments to identify potential discrepancies or opportunities for appeal.
  • Calendar Management: Maintain the master property tax calendar to track deadlines across multiple jurisdictions and ensure zero late-filing penalties.

Indirect Tax & Controllership Liaison

  • Data Analysis: Act as a resource for the Controllership team by gathering data and performing research for Sales & Use Tax inquiries as needed.
  • Audit Documentation: Maintain organized records and documentation to support the company’s tax positions during internal or external audits.

Process Improvement

  • Data Optimization: Work to streamline data extraction from the ERP system to create standardized, "audit-ready" workpapers for external consultants.
  • Research: Assist with basic tax research regarding new nexus footprints or changes in state tax regulations.

Refined Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA candidate preferred).
  • Experience: 0–3 years of experience in corporate tax or public accounting.
  • Tech Skills: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and data formatting) are a requirement for this role.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and a "project management" mindset—you should enjoy keeping trackers updated and meeting deadlines.

Traits: High level of integrity, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
